When Should You Install a Radon System?
The EPA recommends fixing your home if your radon level is 4 pCi/L or higher, and suggests considering it for levels between 2 and 4 pCi/L. There's no known safe level of radon, so lowering it as much as practical is the goal

Most homes in our area get a sub-slab depressurization system, which is also the method the EPA describes as most common. It works by pulling radon from under the foundation before it can get into the house:

A suction point is drilled through the basement slab, or set into a sump pit or crawlspace.

A vent pipe runs from that point through the house or along the outside wall

An in-line fan creates steady suction and pushes the radon out above the roofline, where it disperses.

Cracks and openings in the foundation are sealed so the system works more efficiently.

What to Expect From Installation
Before -
We walk through the house, check the foundation and talk with you about where the pipe and fan will go. You'll know what the system looks like before we start.
Install -
Most installations take one to two days, depending on what the system requires. We work cleanly and explain what we're doing as we go
After -
We run a follow-up radon test to confirm the new level. Our goal is always to bring your home below 4.0 pCi/L, the EPA action level. The EPA also recommends retesting every two years, or after major renovations
